In this Markzware adventure, we see what was a mirror like Mediterranean sea the day before, turn into an angry, aggressive one. This was shot in Cecina, Italy which is near Mazzanta and Vada in Tuscany. Although not a severe storm, it shows how quickly things can change- and a lovely sunset:
Here we see Patrick Marchese hiking the jungles of Belize into a river filled cave to an ancient Mayan ceremonial area called Actun Tunichil Muknal or ATM caves for short. The underworld was very important for the Mayans (9 levels of the underworld and 13 levels of heaven). Watch Pat in action here:
From the magestic mangrove lined tropical shores of Caye Caulker island to vine covered jungle trails leading to ancient Mayan under-world, river filled caves, this adventure in Belize and Guatemala was one we would recommend. The Mayan ruins in Tikal and the entire Mayan culture is extremely interesting, not to mention swimming with sharks, 4-wheeling and getting detained at the border! Patrick Marchese, co-founder and CEO of Markzware, is seen here working out a deal with the artists outside of Xunantunich (Cayo District) in Belizé. In Xunantunich are some of the most impressive Mayan ruins in the country and as you will see in this short film, also some impressive slate art-work carvings:
With summer upon us, we wanted to share part of a recent Markzware Adventure in Belizé and Guatemala. You can watch the preflight, take-off and approach of the small cesna flight here:
Markzware started a new Crackle.com account, which is yet another neat Video upload site, with a twist of also going the Internet TV route too. Here is one of the latest episodes added to our channel there. Enjoy the summer.
Snap, Crackle, Pop; this is Markzware’s spot:
File this under a Markzware Adventure- our first day on Caye Caulker island in the small Central American country, Belizé. It is truly a lovely location along the Caribbean sea with delicious fresh lobsters, palm tress and friendly locals- not to mention the worlds second largest barrier reef. You can view some of the pictures here or by clicking on the image below (Mayan ruins, jungle walks and snorkeling galleries to follow soon!)…
We visited the impressive Mayan ruins in Tikal, Guatemala and found ourselves synchronized with a very interesting and well-spoken person and our guide for the day.
Danilo Rodriguez is his name but he is quick to add his ceremonial title of the Black Jaguar, whom is a Mayan expert and has worked on this site for more than twenty years. It seemed liked he knew everyone there and also is an expert (had his own shop for years) in jade and the use of jade in the ancient Mayan culture and their ceremonies.
One nice thing about flying in small countries is that you often get a close-up view on many of the procedures. Heading back from Caye Caulker to Belizé City on a 10-minute Tropic Air flight was a real treat both in terms of seeing the preflight and flight routines and in not having to take the cramped, long-lasting ferry boat back. See picture gallery of this flight here.
Naturally, this just re-enforces the need for quality control checks throughout the workflow- both in aviation as well as print-media. Preflight, Postflight and all sorts of other flights are certainly a must for top-notch PDF’s or print-jobs. Design to land safely- create to print properly!
