ID2Q Tutorial – How to Convert InDesign to Quark with Markzware ID2Q

“Hello, my name is Rick, and in this tutorial, I’ll show you how easy it is to convert an InDesign CS3 file to QuarkXPress 7. This is the original InDesign document. It has five pages, lots of images, and pretty complex typography.

First of all, I found the ID2Q conversion tool from Markzware on a web page for Conversion-News, which, by the way, is a great source for information on any file conversion. After that, I purchased the ID2Q XTension and placed it in the QuarkXPress XTensions folder. It’s just as easy as it sounds.

And now, if you take a look, you can see that the ID2Q function can be found under the Utilities menu. All that’s left to do is select the ID2Q function and open the InDesign document that you’d like to convert. Click on OK, and the file converts in just a couple of seconds. You can see the conversion is more than 90% accurate.

Now, I can just continue to work in QuarkXPress, without having to recreate the entire document. So, that was my tutorial on ID2Q from Markzware. I hope this tutorial was helpful. Signing off until next time, this is Rick Allen from Conversion News – Conversion News. com, you’re ultimate source for file conversions.”
