ID2Q Outlines
You can convert InDesign CC files with outlines to QuarkXPress with Quark XTension, ID2Q. Please note that QuarkXPress and InDesign handle outlines in very different ways.

QuarkXPress handles outlines through a special meta-style called an Outline Style. An Outline Style in QuarkXPress is made up of Bullet and Number styles. The only way to continue numbering across paragraphs in QXP is to apply an Outline Style. This is much different than how InDesign works.

In InDesign, you define a series of Paragraph styles and then set a parameter to continue numbering from the previous style. With these differences in mind, following is some information regarding known issues with converting Outlines from
InDesign to QXP using ID2Q.

ID2Q Numbering
Markzware ID2Q QuarkXPress 9 10 Mac Numbering Tracked at Outline Level 1
You can use ID2Q to convert InDesign files with numbering to QuarkXPress. ID2Q Numbering is only tracked at level 1 of an outline in QuarkXPress. Every time ID2Q encounters a Level 1 Numbering Style, all sub-levels will restart their numbering or bullet sequences.

ID2Q Bullets
Markzware ID2Q QuarkXPress 9 10 Mac Certain Bullet Characters Will Not Translate Correctly
You can convert InDesign files with bullets to QuarkXPress with ID2Q. The bullet characters that do not seem to translate correctly in ID2Q are usually in OpenType fonts. You can manually change the characters by editing the bullet style in QuarkXPress. ID2Q creates a separate bullet style for each bullet type in the original InDesign document. These styles do not show up under the regular Paragraph or Character Styles windows, but do show up and are editable from the Edit Menu under the Bullet, Numbering, and Outline Styles… menu item.

ID2Q and Placed Illustrator (AI) and PDF Files
Markzware ID2Q Placed Illustrator AI and PDF files may shift and scale converted under QXP 9
ID2Q for QuarkXPress 10 can convert InDesign files that have a placed Illustrator or PDF file. In some cases, if using ID2Q for QuarkXPress 9 (not 10), the converted images may shift and scale. In the example pictured above, the artwork shifted outside of the visible area and is scaled in QXP 9. It is only visible in the screen cap shown because the Picture Content Tool (R) is selected in QXP. If you run into the above issue, you must run ID2Q under QuarkXPress 10 to get a proper conversion.
