Transcript of Video – InDesign to Blog with PageZephyr:
Here we have the Adobe InDesign CS5 file. Let’s see how it looks within InDesign. Okay, so here we are within InDesign CS5. See all the content we have here.
So, how do we get this over to WordPress? How do we go from InDesign to WordPress with a click of a button? Okay, so here we are within PageZephyr. I see all of the DTP files I’ve indexed, that I can search, and I can see right here the file that we were just in in InDesign, the FlightCheck Sales Guide. FlightCheck is our standalone preflight app.
So, I want to use this content. I want to take this and move it up here. Copy and paste that and I put it up here. I’m going to change the date. I want to now get it up to the internet. I just go over here to “Post Blog” and once I do that, will lead you through the next step.
The next step here, to get InDesign into WordPress via PageZephyr, is to sign into your WordPress blog, using a password for your WordPress blog and the exact domain of the WordPress blog. That’s very important for logging in and for verification. You might want to save that preset and then you can just go right here and click Login.
Now, we have to give this post a title. We can choose which blog to post it to. You can see we have many blogs here. Give the post a title and you can accept comments and you can even assign it categories. So, when you hit “Export” that is pretty much it. Within literal seconds, we have taken this vast amount of valuable content on FlightCheck and we have uploaded it up to our blog.
So, let’s go check it out and see how it looks on WordPress. Alright, let’s go into the blog here and there’s FlightCheck facing that way here. Alright, so here’s the blog. So, we just did an InDesign to WordPress export, an InDesign to WordPress conversion, and here we see it. Look how beautiful it comes across, right into your web page, and you see how lovely it comes over, all stylization and colors.
It’s really just, yeah, I personally just love it. Go to www.markzware.com and check out PageZephyr today. There’s a 30-day demo version. I’m quite sure you’ll be highly amazed.
If you use InDesign, QuarkXPress or Microsoft Publisher, PageZephyr is really going to be your friend. Check it out today. More than a search engine, a way to export, to recycle, to reuse your content on the internet. David Dilling for Markzware, signing off.
