FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PageZephyr – Desktop Search Engine Supports Adobe
Convert print content from Adobe InDesign documents
for re-purposing digital content to the Internet

SANTA ANA, California, March 10, 2011 — Markzware, the leading innovator of content data conversion technology announces PageZephyr 2.11. Effective immediately, a free updater for PageZephyr is available to all existing PageZephyr 2.0 users. PageZephyr is the desktop search engine and content extraction engine for Adobe InDesign CS5 and other file formats on Apple Macintosh.

The PageZephyr desktop search engine helps users of Adobe InDesign CS5, QuarkXPress and Microsoft Publisher to convert print documents for publishing to the internet. PageZephyr 2.11 adds full support for Adobe InDesign CS5 and the following features to this latest version, which has the ability to extract and export text to your WordPress Blog, Scribd account, Google Docs account, and your Box.net account.

PageZephyr desktop search makes it easy for printing and publishing companies to manage print content in Adobe InDesign and other native file formats and to distribute that content to the internet. This search engine helps content creators gain control of the text within these files.

Platform Manager at Box.net, Jeremy Glassenberg, stated, “We’re glad to be integrated into the latest version of PageZephyr.  Box has a variety of customers, including many Mac users, of course, and we always appreciate seeing a business or productivity tool utilize our developer platform to help their users better manage and share content.”

As a stand-alone desktop application, PageZephyr is unique and can serve several markets. Those markets include advertising, marketing, printing, publishing, e-discovery, research, intelligence and corporate branding.

PageZephyr not only searches print content in documents and archives within Adobe InDesign CS5, Microsoft Publisher and QuarkXPress, it extracts the content as well. PageZephyr is useful for finding content within specific areas of interest across these different file types. PageZephyr is essentially a semi-automatic content creator, providing authors the ability to merge, edit and combine content for a specific topic, almost instantaneously. This search engine can find specific content in multiple documents in different formats and can highlight the specific search criteria, as well. The discovered text can also be customized by editing font styles, size, colors, etc., to optimize content for posting to a number of output options.

PageZephyr processes Adobe InDesign CS5 (.indd) and Quark (.qxd) files authored on Macintosh or Windows computers and Microsoft Publisher (.pub) files authored on a Windows machine. These DTP applications need not be loaded or installed in order for PageZephyr to function. In addition, PageZephyr enables you to display text in found files with the option to maintain font, size and color. PageZephyr empowers users to open, edit and convert content to open formats such as text (.txt) or rich text format (.rtf ), and publish to the web, such as a WordPress blog.

Terry Sanders, owner of Sanders Printing Company exclaims, “… you have a very useful program here (PageZephyr) and not just for the service bureau, but also the catalog and magazine publishing biz, as they often collect files from multiple creation sources, and software manufacturers often need to find these files and don’t have index info relative to content. I think this is another Home Run for Markzware!”

PageZephyr picks up where other search engines leave off by indexing InDesign CS-CS5, QuarkXPress 6-8, and Microsoft Publisher 2002-2010 files on Macintosh storage volumes. Users, like Jeff Kew of Fireboy Creative Inc., are amazed at PageZephyr’s searching abilities. He goes on to say, “PageZephyr has been a huge help in improving efficiencies in de-archiving and job searches. Its paid off for itself many times over since I started working with it.”
