L. Brown & Sons Printing, Inc. – Convert Publisher Files to InDesign

G. TONY MORSE | L. BROWN & SONS PRINTING, INC.
on how to convert Publisher files to InDesign:

I had thirteen postcards for a university recruitment program. Each postcard had a different
major, different color scheme, different pictures and different copy. Each card was set up in
Publisher as a separate file, no images provided, no bleeds, no safe area. I  had to rebuild
each card in InDesign, and manually extract each image for color correcting. The total
time to re-construct the cards was about six hours.

Pub2ID converted each file and extracted the images in seconds. The only element that
wasn’t preserved was the transparency. But this freed me up to fix the design problems
(the color and bleed issues) much more quickly – so it saved me at least four hours.
That one job justified the cost of the software.
