Does Q2id support Arabic character?
I received an email about Q2ID with a link that brought me to this page. I could not find any explanation about WHY I should upgrade. I already have v5 and use Adobe CS5, so why should I pay another $796 to upgrade my 5 seat license? Also, the upgrade page says it expired in February.
Hi Laura, Thank you for the reply and not sure what link they emailed to you, but the reason to Upgrade to Q2ID v5.5 is CS5.5 support (mainly, plus a host of other improvements).
Very soon though we will be coming out with Q2ID v6 for CS6, CS5.5 or CS5. Thus it is very wise to Upgrade Q2ID now and likely fall within the 45-day grace period or a free Upgrade to Q2ID v6; although I can never guarantee that.

Dear Assem, yes, Q2ID supports Arabic characters. Meaning we convert over the layout and all text with styles, colors, etc. You just need to ensure that you have the fonts loaded and that no custom XT’s were used in creating the QuarkXPress files. Then the conversion from QuarkXPress to InDesign should work fine, also when Arabic or other language characters are used.
You can purchase Q2ID v5.5 here:
