ACTIVATION CODE & LICENSE ID INQUIRIES

Question: Do I need internet access to activate PageZephyr?
Answer: Internet access and a PageZephyr license is required to activate PageZephyr. You must obtain a PageZephyr license to use PageZephyr. You will require internet access to de-activate the product or to post content to a blog.

 

PRODUCT INSTALLER FILES AND INQUIRIES

Question: Does PageZephyr require that I have Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress loaded on my computer?
Answer: PageZephyr is a standalone application that allows you to search and convert text content in InDesign, Publisher and Quark documents. The native applications do not need to be loaded or installed in order for PageZephyr to function. For initial installation, please see the PageZephyr Installation section of the PageZephyr Manual.

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS

Question: Since PageZephyr is a Mac only application, can PageZephyr manage files created on Windows computers?
Answer: Yes. PageZephyr can search and extract InDesign and Quark content from files created on either Mac or Windows computers, as well as index extracted files. MS Publisher is a Windows only application and PageZephyr can handle these Publisher files as well.

Question: Does PageZephyr alter my original document?
Answer: No, PageZephyr does not alter your original InDesign, Publisher or Quark file in any way. The editing capabilities of PageZephyr allow you to edit and repurpose content text that PageZephyr can extract from InDesign, Publisher or Quark documents.

Question: How many files can PageZephyr handle?
Answer: We have tried several thousands of files here. Theoretically, the system limitations for a 64 bit application (under Snow Leopard) are the maximum number of files that can be handled. But, just like Spotlight, PageZephyr will tax your system resources (CPU Usage, Physical Memory, Virtual Memory, Free Disk Space)  when large numbers of files are being processed. Question: There are less files indexed than I would have expected. Can you help with this?
Answer: We strive to make PageZephyr handle as wide a range of files as we can. If you look in the Activity Window, you will see stats for Indexed, Failed and Unsupported files. If you are missing files, please check these lists for your missing file. PageZephyr allows you to collect Failed and Unsupported files, with the hope that you will send these files to us for inspection. This will help us to improve the product. The best way to send us the collected archives of Failed or Unsupported files is to use the PageZephyr Tech Support Form. If your archive exceeds 1GB in size, please let us know and we will work with you to get the files submitted for inspection. PageZephyr can also export to plain text or RTF for various uses, such as uploading to a blog.

Question: Can I use PageZephyr in an automated workflow?
Answer: Using the standard versions of PageZephyr in an automated workflow is prohibited by the PageZephyr License Agreement. If you are interested in using PageZephyr in an automated workflow, please contact our Business Development Group at bizdev@markzware.com

Question: I am a large corporate customer and 30 days is just not long enough to evaluate PageZephyr. Is there anything I can do?
Answer: Yes, please contact our Sales Department and request an extended PageZephyr demo trial. Someone will evaluate your request and let you know if we can accommodate your request.

 

REFUND POLICY

Question: Can I return PageZephyr products that I purchase from your online store?
Answer: We can refund your product within 30 days of your online purchase, if you have NOT activated or installed it on any system. If you activate PageZephyr, we CANNOT return or refund your product, as it is considered opened product. If you qualify for a refund, please forward your online invoice with an explanation as to why you need a refund to sales@markzware.com for a return authorization. If you experience any issues with PageZephyr not working as advertised, please contact our Markzware Technical Support Team via the Support Form and make sure to send us the problematic file(s) so we may inspect them to determine what the issue(s) might be. Products received through third-party promotions CANNOT be refunded for any reason.
