The Set Menu
A new set can be customized to check your PDF file for the exact criteria you determine. You can give this new set a name.
(Ex. Printer A) Multiple sets can be customized for your workflow.
The Set Menu includes the following groups:
Creation Group – The first command options (New Set, Get More, Rename Set, Delete Set) define the creation group. These determine how you create and name a new set, organize sets by renaming or delete out-of-date sets.
Indicators Group – Within this Group (Turn All Off, Set All to “Warning”, Set All to “Error”, Reset all to Initial Settings) icons will represent warnings or errors from within the PDF document. These icons are used to turn off/on the choices within the Ground Control Set.
Set Management Group – Once you develop settings and save them as a Set, use these features (Import/Export Sets, and Password) to share and protect them from change.
Note: One person (an Administer/Libriarian) can make, delete and lock sets from each computer to ensure consistent results.
Set List Group – This group houses all the installed Sets, plus any new sets you may create or add to the list. You can choose a pre-installed setting to ensure best practices based upon the desired output. Since you are using your layout applications to create the PDF file and submit that PDF, the Set is used to ensure that all the necessary pieces (ex. Embedded Fonts, page size information, etc.) are included within that PDF.
