FlightCheck Pages Page Size

FlightCheck Pages Page Size

Width – This FlightCheck Ground Control will trigger if the page width of the document page size is greater than the width of the printable area for a specified device, like an imagesetter. This layout problem causes clipping of part of your intended print area. This GC can only trigger if a job has had a maximum printable width stored in the printer data record. This is usually accomplished by printing the document to some device and then saving the document, as this width of the output is ascertained from the Printer Driver.

Height – This Ground Control will trigger if the document page height is greater than the height of the printable area for a specified device (like an imagesetter). This will cause clipping of part of your intended print area. This GC can only trigger if a job has had a maximum printable height stored in its printer’s data record. This is usually accomplished by printing the document to some device and then saving the document, as this page height information is ascertained from the Printer Driver.

Note:  Page size refers to the document width and document height, as opposed to paper size, which refers to the size of the paper on which the document of a particular page size is to be printed.
