IDMarkz Inspector Panel - IDMarkz User Guide - 1

The Inspector Panel is a light preflight overview of your document. It displays a mini inventory of what comprises your document.
Each document has its own Inspector Panel Window.

Some features of the Inspector Panel

  • Can be set to show up automatically every time you open a file (found under the General Preferences Tab)
  • Can be opened and closed using Command-I
  • Can be dragged to any location on the screen, but if you drag it onto a second screen it will snap back to the upper middle of the Preview Window.

  1. (ICON) Version of InDesign the file is associated with
  2. Name of the document
  3. Version of InDesign document was last saved with
  4. File Size of the document on disk
  5. Document Creation Date
  6. Document Last Modified Date
  7. Number of Pages
  8. Number of Spreads
  9. Whether document uses Facing or Non-Facing Pages
  10. Dimensions of the Document
  11. How many fonts are used in the job
  12. How many fonts are missing
  13. How many fonts are inactive
  14. Number of colors associated with the document (this includes all colors listed in the color palette as well as un-named colors)
  15. Used – how many colors are detected as being used in the document. Even for blank documents there is usually one color listed.
  16. Total number of images detected in the document
  17. Number of images detected as missing
  18. Number of images detected as embedded (these could be images that were copied and pasted into a document).
  19. Number of Stories detected in the document.
