Q2ID Gradients and Blends - Q2ID User Guide - 1
  1. Diamond and Rectangular Gradients convert as Radial Gradients with unpredictable results.
  2. QuarkXPress also has Radial and Full Radial gradients whereas InDesign only supports Radial.

In QuarkXPress if you place a radial gradient in a box and resize the box, the gradient resizes and can look elliptical, whereas in InDesign if you resize a box with a radial gradient in it the radial gradient still stays round and simply resizes, its geometry is not altered.
