Open in Quark will attempt to open the native Quark file in the version of Quark it was created with. If this version of Quark cannot be found (it must be loaded and be able to run on your computer for this to work) , then QXPMarkz will check to see if you have QXP 2017 or later is set as the Default Version of Quark on your computer – if true, then an IDML of the file will then be created and sent to the default version of QuarkXPress on your system. Otherwise, you will see an error message that this operation cannot be completed and has failed.
