QXPMarkz – Running The Scripts

Once you install the scripts, the following two new items are available in InDesign

In the Main Manu Bar for InDesign you will see a new entry named Markzware. Under this menu will be an item named Convert QuarkXPress Document…

Clicking on Convert Quark Express Document… will bring a window where you can choose a Quark document to convert to InDesign. Once the conversion is complete you will now have a new InDesign document that you can edit and make changes too. Please remember to Save your InDesign document before doing too many changes to it.

Under the File Menu a new item will appear named Open QuarkXPress File… This will allow you to choose a Quark file to open and convert to InDesign.

!Using either script does not allow you to select QuarkXPress files that have no file extension. If you encounter this, you will need to add a .qxp or .qxd file extension to the filename.
