Graphic Designer on Preflighting Workflow

Graphic designer, Valentin Ocheda of OCHEDA Graphic Creatives, recently called in with a preflighting support question. In assisting him, Markzware learned of his great zeal for using FlightCheck. Ocheda uses this patented software for preflighting every QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign job that he produces. He specializes in CD covers, inlays, etc., for the music and entertainment sector, and intensely uses both QuarkXPress (which he prefers) and Adobe InDesign. FlightCheck can preflight QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher, and many other file types. Watch this Markzware video interview to learn more about graphic design workflow, preflighting, PDF and DTP layout applications:

Markzware Interviews Graphic Designer on Preflighting Workflow

This graphic designer shared some insights and recommends:

  • ALWAYS first preflighting, then making a PDF
  • making cPDF standardized press-ready files
  • delivering BOTH the open file and the PDF to printers

So, if you do page layouts for graphic design, perhaps FlightCheck can help you, too. See more printing solutions on the Markzware Products page. Do you have something to share with Markzware? Leave a comment below!
