Markzware FlightCheck 7.5 Mac Ground Controls:
Print Bleed

Markzware FlightCheck Print Preferences
Insufficient Bleed – This Ground Control will trigger if the user has set a bleed value and objects outside the page boundary do not extend at least the specified bleed value. For example, you may set a bleed value of .125″ and you have a picture box that extends off the page. If the box does not extend at least .126″ beyond the page boundary, this Ground Control will trigger. (The value entered is a greater than value, not a greater than or equal to value.)

Bleed – This Ground Control merely detects that a bleed value was set in the DTP application (like QuarkXPress or InDesign). This Ground Control does not deal with actual Bleed values, only its presence.

Here is a video that shows how FlightCheck can preflight print files:

FlightCheck warns if objects extending outside the page boundary don’t extend at least the
specified bleed value, or bleed value was set in the DTP application, plus more.
