InDesign CS content search with PageZephyr Search Mac, Markzware’s content search application. Search InDesign files for Adobe Creative Suite and Creative Cloud INDD workflows:
PageZephyr Search Mac is a stand-alone application from Markzware that allows graphic arts users to search InDesign file formats. Users can find and view the text of Spotlight-indexable InDesign files (with or without the program, InDesign CS). Users can open documents in InDesign CS, with the proper version of InDesign CS (graphic software) installed. You can even copy and paste text into a text editing program.
How to Do an InDesign CS Content Search with PageZephyr Search Mac:
- Type in the word you’re looking for.
- Hit Enter. (You’ll see a list of native files on the left and the text highlighted within the file on the right.)
- To see the word in context, right click “Show Selection in Document”. (With the correct version of InDesign CS loaded, the word will be highlighted in the document.)
- To Copy and Paste the text out, you can either click and drag to select text, or hit Command-A (Select All), and select Copy. (This will copy the text to your clipboard, which makes it available for use in other applications.)
