Which Adobe InDesign CC Version Am I Running?

How to tell which Adobe InDesign CC version you are running:

Many people upgraded to the latest Adobe InDesign CC version, without knowing it was a completely different InDesign CC version than the original version released in 2013. InDesign CC plugins are designed to be run under a specific version of InDesign CC. For example, Markzware‘s Q2ID (Quark to InDesign) Bundle Subscription includes two separate InDesign plugins for InDesign CC:

• a CC plugin that only runs under InDesign CC (version 9) and
• a CC plugin that only runs under InDesign CC 2014 (version 10).

The following screen caps show the startup screens for each InDesign version. By looking at your startup screen you will be able to tell immediately which version you are running and whether you need to get an updated plug-in or not.

Startup Screen for the Original InDesign CC Version Released in 2013:
The original version of InDesign CC has an internal version number of 9.x

Startup Screen for the InDesign CC Version Released in June of 2014:
The version of InDesign released in June of 2014 has an internal version number of 10.x
