RIJSWIJK, The Netherlands. — July 14, 2005, — Deckers Druk of Verrebroek, Belgium, has chosen FlightCheck Online, from Markzware, as the preflight solution to check and send customers graphic files via the internet. The IT department of Deckers Druk has built in a full range of automatic functions and many additional advantages, both for the client and the business itself, on the foundation with the powerful engine of Markzware FlightCheck Online.

The application checks digital printing files of all types such as the quality magazines and color brochures produced by this full-service graphic design company. The IT department of Deckers Druk have included a users facility for clients, such as log files for checking instantly which files have been received, reports to management and an e-mail acknowledgment of receipt. Customers can themselves create client profiles, download and install the necessary software and upon receipt of a password go straight to work with the system.

“The server immediately and automatically checks all files with FlightCheck Online. Roughly 90% of our customers are already making use of this system after just a few months. We have made the process surrounding Markzware FlightCheck Online almost entirely automated so this service can offer even more advantages to customers,” says Hendrik van Haele, the IT manager of Deckers Druk. “More users are joining every week, both new and existing customers, and everyone is taking to it really well.”

David Dilling, the managing director for the European branch of Markzware, says, “Deckers Druk have added on many extras linked to FlightCheck Online and that is precisely the intention with this solution. You can work with it just as it stands, but businesses can very easily add extra functionality.”

Hendrik van Haele concludes: “The connection to our internal workflow is perfect. It really couldn’t be much simpler. If any errors or deficiencies are found in a file the sender is immediately sent a summary explaining what must be corrected. It means less print errors for us, fewer corrections and a reduction in courier costs. Above all we have a better overview of the files which have come in and we can plan more effectively.”

FlightCheck Online, unlike other so-called, “preflighting online” systems does the actual preflight process on the desktop of the sender, making the results in virtual real-time. Furthermore, FlightCheck Online can preflight PDF files for  40+ other file types, such as EPS, InDesign and XPress files, to name just a few.
