
The FlightCheck menu offers several preflight options for customizing your preflight job, starting with the Markzware FlightCheck Main Menu:

FlightCheck Main Menu Drop Down List
The FlightCheck menu in the FlightCheck main menu includes general information and settings for Markzware FlightCheck:
- About FlightCheck shows serial number, active Preflight Mode with version number and language, FlightCheck version, and MarkzOne Engine version.
- Preferences shows the FlightCheck Preference window.
- Services shows loaded Macintosh Services.
- Hide FlightCheck hides the FlightCheck application and its open windows.
- Hide Others hides open windows of other applications.
- Show All re-enables Hide FlightCheck and Hide Others.
FlightCheck File Menu
The FlightCheck menu in the FlightCheck File Menu offers document options for your preflight job:
- Open opens a file for and begins preflighting.
- Open Recent lists recently preflighted files.
- Add File is available if you have a file open in Markzware FlightCheck. Active preflight mode is either Non-PDF or PDF.
- Load Preflight Mode allows you to manually select and load a Preflight Mode file. Instead of using this you should use Preflight Mode and make a selection from the fly-out menu.
- Preflight Mode brings up a fly-out menu where you can select a different Preflight Mode.
- Close closes the Results Window or Ground Controls Window if they are the front most window. If the Overview Window is the front most window, then the current job is closed and you must re-open the job to see new Results and Overview Windows.
- Save As saves a FlightCheck Results report in text format.
- Page Setup brings up a standard system Page Setup Options window where you can configure your printed page format.
- Print Results appears in the menu if the Results Window is the frontmost window and will bring up a standard Page Setup window where you can configure your page setup.
- Print Report… will appear in the menu if the Overview Window is the frontmost window and will first bring up the Print Overview window selection window where you can select which sections of the Overview report you want included.
- Print Ground Controls… appears in the menu if the Ground Controls window is the frontmost window and brings up a standard Page Setup window where you can configure your page setup.
- Print Results appears in the menu if the Results Window is the frontmost window and will bring up a standard Page Setup window where you can configure your page setup.
- Print Report… will appear in the menu if the Overview Window is the frontmost window and will first bring up the Print Overview window selection window where you can select which sections of the Overview report you want included.
- Print Ground Controls… appears in the menu if the Ground Controls window is the frontmost window and brings up a standard Page Setup window where you can configure your page setup.
FlightCheck Edit Menu
The FlightCheck menu in the FlightCheck edit menu includes options for changing text, resolution, flatness, and measurements:
- Cut is for Ground Controls text areas, like resolution, flatness, and hint-displaying text in the Results Window.
- Copy is for text copied in Ground Controls, like resolution, flatness, and hint-displaying text in the Collect Window.
- Paste is for Ground Controls text areas, like resolution, flatness and hint-displaying text in the Results Window.
- Clear clears highlighted text and can be used where Copy and Paste can be used.
- Set Password allows FlightCheck password entry if required for every use of the application.
- Measurements allows selection of units of measurement for FlightCheck to display preflighted jobs.
FlightCheck Preflight Menu
The FlightCheck menu in the FlightCheck Preflight Menu allows you to recheck documents, show results and ground controls, open the document, and find an image or image folder:
- Preflight Document rechecks multiple open documents.
- Display FlightCheck Results brings up the Results Window if it was hidden or brings the Results Window to the front if several windows are open.
- Show Ground Controls brings up Ground Controls if it was hidden or brings Ground Controls to the front if several windows are open.
- Launch Document attempts to launch the native application for the open document.
- Find Image allows you to select an image flagged as missing and navigate to the location where you believe the missing image is.
- Show Image Folder… allows you to select a folder where you believe missing images reside, so FlightCheck can check it. FlightCheck reports additional information about found images (helpful to ensure you received all required images).
FlightCheck Views Menu
The FlightCheck menu in the FlightCheck Views Menu allows you to find page layout objects and information about those objects:
- Show Page Layout shows pages on the left and an items list on the right. Select an item on the right to highlight the item on the left (useful for finding objects such as RGB images). Page Layout shows additional information about the highlighted item if you have a document open in FlightCheck.
FlightCheck Collect Menu
The FlightCheck menu in the FlightCheck Collect menu allows you to collect files for a print job or to create a collection report:
- Collect Job… brings up the Collect Window where you can collect and package your preflighted job. Package InDesign, package Illustrator, or other file types into one folder.
- Collect Report… creates a Collection Report for the job in the front Overview window (what FlightCheck can collect and what is flagged as missing), with an option to save the report without collecting the job.
FlightCheck Windows Menu
The FlightCheck menu in the FlightCheck Windows Menu allows you to hide or show the FlightStrip or FlightStrip titles:
- Hide FlightStrip hides the FlightStrip (gray bar with one-click easy access buttons like Open, to preflight a document, or Collect) and toggles to change the menu item to Show FlightStrip.
- Hide FlightStrip Titles hides text names for one-click buttons in the FlightStrip and can change to Show FlightStrip Titles.
- Font Database brings up the FlightCheck Font Database Window to see which fonts are Active, in the document’s local path or in custom paths.
FlightCheck Help Menu
The FlightCheck menu in the FlightCheck Help menu allows you to access FlightCheck Help and the Markzware website:
- FlightCheck Help brings up built-in help for FlightCheck in your web browser.
- Markzware Home Page opens your web browser and takes you to the Markzware website with Technical Support, FlightCheck Trouble Ticket support, FlightCheck Help Manual and more.
