Markzware‘s MarkzTools for InDesign plugin is sold as an annual bundle subscription. The following provides information on the MarkzTools for InDesign subscription license model:
MarkzTools for InDesign Subscription License Model
MarkzTools for InDesign is sold as an annual subscription. The subscription gives the user 1 year of single computer’s use of MarkzTools for InDesign CS6, CS5.5 and CS5 Mac. This includes all updates and upgrades of MarkzTools for InDesign that occur during that year. The year starts on the date of purchase. After the year is over, users can renew their subscription to continue using MarkzTools for InDesign.
The subscription starts at the time you place your order for MarkzTools, not upon first use. When your subscription period is over, MarkzTools for InDesign will no longer run. If you wish to continue using MarkzTools for InDesign, you will need to either renew your subscription or purchase a new subscription.
Your subscription includes all updates at no additional charge
Your subscription includes all posted updates at no additional cost through the end of your subscription period. Once your subscription has expired, MarkzTools for InDesign will no longer be available. At this time, if you would like to continue using MarkzTools for InDesign, you will need to either renew your subscription or purchase a new subscription.
MarkzTools for InDesign can open InDesign CC or higher file versions in a lower version, without IDML. Open later versions of InDesign files (e.g., InDesign CC, InDesign CC 2014) within InDesign CS6, CS5.5. or CS5. MarkzTools for InDesign allows InDesign CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 users to convert InDesign CC or higher files directly to CS5, CS5.5 or CS6, without an intermediary IDML file. This eliminates the need to ask your customer to send an IDML file in addition to the native file.
InDesign CC / CC 2014 users may need to send files to CS5-CS6 users. Without MarkzTools, the CC 2014 file would be saved as an IDML file and the recipient would open that IDML file in InDesign CS6, CS5.5 or CS5. With MarkzTools, the recipient can open InDesign CC+ within CS5-CS6.
