PageZephyr Search Mac has outstanding capabilities for content search in Adobe InDesign (INDD) files. It enables users to access InDesign files to find the words that you specify.
Example of a Content Search with PageZephyr Search Mac:
This sample “contains” search returns all InDesign files that contain the word “lorem”. This also includes a larger word that contains the word lorem. In the Text Area, any matches are highlighted in yellow.
PageZephyr Search Mac:
- Indexes content in Apple Macintosh storage volumes with Spotlight enabled.
- Supports InDesign CS through CC files.
- Functions with or without the Adobe InDesign program.
- Goes to the highlighted search term in InDesign for context awareness.
Extra Feature: Right-Clicking on a Filename
If you Right-Click on a filename in the Search Results area, a menu will pop up. You can choose either:
- “Open” – PageZephyr Search will attempt to open the file in the latest InDesign version installed on your computer. The InDesign file will open, without showing you where your search word or phrase is located. Note: PageZephyr Search does not convert between InDesign versions.

- “Show in Finder” – PageZephyr Search will reveal your InDesign file in a standard Finder window.
