PDF2DTP’s Major Features:
batch convert multiple PDFs.
• option to create proper “GoTo” Hyperlinks for Bookmarks.
Conversion Time Display: If you have a folder or file named “PDF2DTP_TIME” in the /Users/{user}/Documents/PDF2DTP folder/PDF2InDesign folder, the elapsed time will appear on the Progress window during conversion.
• select and convert all pages in a PDF file, via the Convert PDF menu item.
• The glyph editor tool lets users choose which glyph character shown in the document to use for a missing glyph.
• The Help menu item will display a small window that contains the PDF2DTP version number, link to the online PDF2DTP manual, and link to the Markzware Tech Support Request Form.
Object Quantity Display: Checking a folder or file named “PDF2DTP_OBJS” will display the number of objects on the converted page, as well as the maximum amount of objects on any page so far during the conversion. (To disable the feature, rename the files; for example, add a tilde “~” at the beginning of the name.) When a conversion is very slow, using this feature allows you to see how many objects are involved and on which page the objects are. You can then convert a specific page, for further testing.
• The Convert Page Range menu item allows you to specify a range of pages to convert.
• The Preferences menu item summons the PDF2DTP Preferences window where you can set conversion options. These preferences include the Document Settings, Font Settings, and Save To preferences.
• The Converting PDF progress bar that appears during conversion allows you to track the PDF to InDesign file conversion process. This window displays the number of the page now converting (within the range of pages), the total number of pages in the range, and the time usage.
• The “Linked Text Boxes” Preference attempts to link text boxes into a “chain”.
Hyperlinks have been improved for instances in which a user defines Hyperlinks for selected text.
• The Bookmarks feature converts PDF “Table of Contents” Bookmarks.

Markzware PDF2DTP supports batch conversion of PDF files into INDD documents that can be modified and printed or published. PDF2DTP offers the ability to convert a selection of PDF pages, or an entire PDF document, or multiple PDF documents, to InDesign.

Repurposing layouts into new page sizes is where the Liquid Layout feature comes in handy. This lets pages be reshaped and the contents adjust, slide or resize to fit into the new dimensions. It’s a strange thing to see, but it works well – and much better than the Layout Adjustment feature that’s been around in previous InDesign versions.
