1. “Save Document” saves your new document to the designated conversion folder.
2. “Save Image Previews” saves image previews in the PDF to the conversion folder.
3. “Reuse Duplicates” saves only one image preview file if there are duplicates.
4. “Clipping Paths” saves the Clipping Path in the preview file.
5. “ICC Profiles” saves an ICC Profile, if defined in the PDF, to the preview file.
6. “Duotones EPS” saves the image preview to a Duotone EPS if the color space is defined as DeviceN and uses Spot colors.
7. “Save Missing Images (OPI)” creates a file in the conversion folder for a missing image which has a known name.
8. “Unlink Images” prompts PDF2DTP to find and link to an image path.
• Font Settings Preferences:
1. “Substitute Missing Fonts” substitutes missing fonts with the application’s default font.
2. “Scale Text” scales the text using a substituted font (usually horizontally) so that characters closely match their original positions.
3. “CharStyles” adds Character Styles to your application.
4. “ParaStyles” adds Paragraph Styles to your application.
5. “Tables” converts Tables.
6. “Groups” enables grouping of many small objects found in placed artwork.
7. “Include Pasteboard Items” includes any items that when converted reside on the Pasteboard area.
8. “Page Numbering” looks for small text boxes with text equal to a Page Number and replaces text in the box with InDesign’s AutoPage Marker.
9. “Replace ‘Marked Content” lets PDF2DTP ignore a large quantity of small objects.
• Save To Preferences:
1. “Save To:” lets you choose the desired radio button to set the location of the conversion folder.
2. “Overwrite Existing Folder” enables PDF2DTP to write over any existing files in your conversion folder.
