Kimberly Macheski, art director, PentaVision LLC, recently purchased a copy of Markzware‘s Q2ID, an Adobe CS6 plugin for QuarkXPress to InDesign data conversion. As a creative professional, she reached out to let us know how this InDesign plugin for Adobe Creative Suite INDD helped to save numerous hours of having to redo templates and other work for recreating QuarkXPress in InDesign:
“The Q2ID software that I purchased far exceeded my expectations! Enough so that I have been telling anyone who will listen how great it is!
When our publishing company made the decision to transition from using QuarkXPress to InDesign for our page design, I had the unfortunate, daunting and tedious task of recreating our page templates to InDesign. I spent months doing this and hated every minute. (Although it was a good way to learn the InDesign software.)
When it came time to actually making the jump over to InDesign, I had one more magazine that needed its templates converted. That’s when I purchased the Markzware software. I was completely blown away and amazed at how easy it was to use, and how well and how quickly it converted the pages. There was very little that I needed to fix on the newly created InDesign pages.
I cannot believe the countless hours that I spent originally doing this task, when this software was available at such a reasonable cost. What took me hours upon hours to do manually, Q2ID did in mere seconds. I marvel at what it can do and what it must’ve taken to create such software.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for offering this amazing software! I only wish I had purchased it earlier.”
